Most people would walk into my house, take one look at my desk and think that someone insane lives here.
I’m not going to comment on my sanity just yet, but I did find a way to keep some of my life in check. This monthly planner/calendar, by Maalbok has some great advantages others don’t.
Besides the fact it’s got two years of monthly calendars that spread across two pages each month, it’s got some backmatter that we all need. First, there’s the obligatory ‘contacts’ pages, but these are roomy, and even have a place for emails.
Next is the ‘holidays’ page. It’s got every major holiday Jan – Dec, listed on one page with three years included so we know on what date those holidays will fall into the future.
Then it has a ‘notes’ page – this looks great, but does anybody besides myself wonder exactly what sort of notes we should put there? The uncertainty leaves these pages blank most of the time.
However, the pièce de résistance ( that’s French for an outstanding accomplishment or masterpiece) in this planner for me is the ‘PASSWORDS’ page.
Admit it. We lose our passwords. We change them on our phones when we can’t remember them, then when we go back to our computer we find we didn’t write the new password down. So we have to change it for the second time within days. Then there are those messages we get from banks, credit card companies, etc. “You will need to change your password.” Then the frustration that you can’t use the exact same password with a simple change of an exclamation point to a dollar sign. The only complaint about this particular planner is that they don’t have a long list of blank spaces for those of us who routinely find ourselves in this situation. But this planner is by far the handiest I’ve found to date.
